Som Tum - ส้มตำ


Next thai food is Som Tum or Someone call Papaya Pok Pok.

Ingredients :
  1. Papaya : the fresh and green
  2. Lime
  3. Tomato : the small one
  4. Fish Sauce
  5. A non-dried ripe tamarind (มะขามเปียก)
  6. Guinea-pepper (พริกขี้หนู)
  7. Garlic
  8. Fermented fish sauce (น้ำปลาร้า)
  9. Vigna (ถั่วฝักยาว)
  10. A morning glory (ผักบุ้ง)

How to cook :

  1. Peel the skin of papaya and chop it into the strings.
  2. Pound the garlic ,guinea-pepper and the papaya string in the mortar
  3. Flavour by Lime juice, Fermented fish sauce, A non-dried ripe tamarind and fish sauce.
  4. Put the half cut of tomato and vigna and pound it

P.S. : Mix everything in the mortar and pound not to much.

: Papaya can be replaced by carrots.

: increase or decrease the ingredients as the taste you like.
